Festival of One-Acts
Come audition for one of the plays in the Celsius One Act Festival! Info is below:
Casting Workshops for Jane Austen Extravaganza - NORTHANGER ABBEY.
Thurs, January 26, 13:30 until 15:30.
This play is a part of Celsius' Evening of One-Acts in the end of March 2012.
Rehearsals will most likely be once a week on Sunday afternoon.
It's a story about teens from early 19th century England venturing from their families into the wide world.
So we will need both young people...:
10 roles, possible 12: 6 (or 8) female and 4 male
...and grown up adults for roles of the parents:
6 roles: 3 male, 3 female.
It's going to be so much fun. I'm thinking of having doubles for many roles (and substitutes for others) as in repertoire theatres. So we'll see different interpretations of a role.
Come PREPARED for the Casting Workshops:
1. The first and most important source is the novel itself. Read 'Northanger Abbey' by Jane Austen (it's not a big book, just 200 pages or so)
2. Watch 2 movies of 'Northanger Abbey' from 2007 and 1985.
